My Coaching Approach

International Coaching Federation (ICF) Accredited Diploma in Professional Life Coaching.
NLP Master Practitioner.
Certified Edu-Therapy™ Specialist.

There are three simple steps which I follow in my coaching.

Change, Choose, Create After Cancer.

If You're Not Changing It You're Choosing It.

It all starts with a Change, this is the trigger. You've encountered a huge change in your life, a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Maybe you've lost your confidence, your priorities have shifted, your body has changed and you look different. You've lost sight of yourself and who you are. Together we will take control of this change and build your confidence and life again.

"Coaching raises self-awareness and identifies choices."

Jenny Rogers

This leads to us exploring your Choices. Opening your heart and mind to all the possibilities there are, dreaming big, finding hope. Facing fears and anxieties. Your perspective and priorities have changed. What choices are available to you? Through our conversations you will see the resources you have that will enable you to make the changes you want.

"Coaching is not about fixing people it is about empowering them to create their own solutions"

@evercoach

Then it is time to Create, to take action, to build that new life.

A coaching relationship is one of equals. My role is to facilitate a powerful conversation by asking incisive questions to support you in identifying the changes and choices you want to make. Once you have created the vision of your new life and decided your actions to get you there, my role is to hold you accountable for the things you say you are going to do.

There is work to be done in between our sessions to get the most from coaching, building on the momentum. This is often where the real magic is. I have a range of exercises which I will share with you, depending on what is needed.

Walk and Talk

I am a great believer in the power of being outdoors and connecting with nature. We think differently when we move. The quality of our thoughts and conversations is different.

I offer walk and talk sessions, mainly on Hampstead Heath. I find the woodland, open spaces and panoramic views across London energising and inspire great thinking.

Resolving Your Grief

We suffer losses (loss of certainty, bereavement, job loss, loss of health, divorce, relationship breakdown, pet loss) and these losses bring us emotional pain.

We may be told "time is a great healer". But this isn't true - to truly heal we need to be active in recovering from our losses, not passively wait for time to works its alleged magic.

The emotional pain holds us back, but we can put this pain down. I am a certified TherapyTM specialist and through an eight session programme I can educate you in a cognitive technique which will help you put down your pain.

I have done this work myself and it is powerful and liberating. The sadness remains with us, but the pain does not have to.
